I’m Arik, and I am so happy that you found us here
in the home of The Robot Army!
For as long as I can remember I have always had a special admiration for two things: Art and Robots. I grew up in the era of shows like Transformers, Terminator, RoboCop and Short Circuit. The MegaZord (from Power Rangers), R2-D2 and C3P0 (From Star Wars) made a massive impact on my childhood that I have carried into my adult life.
When I first got onto social media I was blown away by suddenly having access to the work of incredible artists from all over the world, and I saw a void for something that could be HUGE!
You draw a robot, and I post it up and feature you!
Good for me, good for you. This simple concept grew both in number and in social media standings.
So just in case you wandered in here at random and you haven’t yet seen our Instagram feed, catch us here:
yes – you!
Please please join the Robot Army now. It’s easy. Draw me a Robot. Post it on Instagram, tag me or dm me and you’re in.
Browse the work of other artists here on this site and on IG.
DTIYS are the monthly Draw This in Your Style challenges that we run through Instagram. Here you will find the present challenge, a countdown timer for the current submission date, and an archive of past DTIYS challenges and results.
And this is also the community page for the Robot Army (that’s you) to have your say on whatever to you want to bring to the attention of our friends and colleagues worldwide.
Check out all the cool robot-themed stuff you can get your hands on right here on this website. You can get anything from a fridge magnet to a skateboard, embellished with art from your favourite members of the Robot Army.
If you want to check out my podcast page, which isn’t really robot or art related but still a lot of fun, you can check that out by looking up “TeamTandAPodcast” wherever you get your podcasts.
Easier still – click the links below.
